CENTRAL LIBRARY

SVPCET Central Library is located in B-Block covers an area of 943.18 Sq.m. The ultra modern Library has a well established fully Automated Library and Information Centre. The Library and Information centre is separate reading and reference section to service the Undergraduate and Post graduate students, staff members and research scholars. The annual budget of our Central Library around 25 Lakhs. The Central Library is covered with huge collection of 29,544 volumes and 5178 titles, covering all major fields of science and engineering technology with international standard resources. Books are classified and arranged according to the Dewey decimal classification (DDC 19th Ed.) scheme.

The Library has subscribed for the e-journals package for AICTE Suggested IEEE, Elsevier. J-Gate for Management IETE, DELNET, NDL, INFLIBNET and NPTEL Courses and also subscribed of 73 National journals and 28 National magazines and General magazines. The Library providing for the staff and students such as OPAC, Multimedia, Internet, and Proceedings, Reports and CD ROMs Collections. Separate reprographic facilities are available for photocopying of reference materials, and other printed materials.

We are providing the NPTEL (National Program Technology Enhanced Learning) through online web and web video courses in engineering and humanities stream.

A Book bank is maintained for the reserving candidate. The library has separate standard library automation package, Engineering College Automation Web based Software for their effective library services such as Issue, Return, Renewal and Reservation of resources.

Professional Librarians and Technical Assistants help the users with their information needs. The college Library committee is headed by the principal comprising of all Heads of departments and Students Representatives.
