CAD MODELING RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. There is a Rs. 100/- entrance fee per student for CAD Modeling competition.
  2. Two students per division.

Divisions: 

2D Machine CAD: Students will draw specified views (orthographic, auxiliary and/or sectional) from given pictorial or orthographic views in inches or metric. The solution will include dimensioning and notes and will fit on A4 size sheet.

3D CAD Modeling: Students will model small objects within a designated time period. Students will calculate volume and distance checks of the objects modeled. Usually, there will be MORE problems than most students can do, but the student who scores the most correct volume and distance check points will be the winner.

Duration of the Competition:  Recommended time limit: 1.5 hours.

 

Scoring:

  1. Qualified judges from Industry/Academic will award the score problems in each division such as 2D & 3D drawings.
  2. Drawing problems will be judged on completeness, accuracy, line quality, lettering and neatness with various “spot-check” rubrics.

Prizes:

A first place will be awarded in each division.
